Tomorrow, December 15th, is a day that has been officially established as Bill of Rights Day in the United States. However, sandwiched between the holidays of Thanksgiving, Chanukah, and Christmas, such a holiday may be lost in the shuffle. However, a day to celebrate our nation’s Constitution and the framework of society that has been established upon the principles of our rights coming from God is extremely important. It’s an important holiday to remind all Americans of the foundation of our freedoms – not only in a document, but originating from the true source of Freedom itself.
Bill of Rights Day commemorates the ratification of the first ten amendments to the Constitution, but today true Americans need to worry about the eradication of our God-given rights and all the freedoms that the document guarantees to the people. Sadly today, there are those in positions of government authority and political power who are intent on reversing these rights and making the people believe that our rights are derived from the benevolence of the government.
These people betray their true intentions by their actions because their actions indicate little regard for, let alone respect for, the rights of We the People.. Their efforts may be masked by flowery words or overly generous promises, but their efforts are insidious and persistent. Such deceitful efforts are aimed at diminishing or destroying freedom of religion and the right to worship freely, aimed at obstructing or restricting freedom of assembly and free speech, and aimed at manipulation and control of the free flow of information.
The Coalition for a Principled Republic is in alignment with such cornerstone Judeo-Chrsitian values and ideals of our founding documents. We take pains to help truth prevail. We are now determined to work even harder during the coming year of 2024 for the sake of promoting those values and ideals as a way of exercising our freedom of expression.
Today we are offering two messages in honor of Bill of Rights Day. Interestingly, they both focus upon the Bill of Rights. Our first article is an article from Pastor Earl Wallace of Liberty Christian Fellowship in New York. It is an older article as he has been sharing this message of the “Biblical Basis of the Bill of Rights” for some time.
Today’s second article is from Jonus Freeman who writes about the contemporary challenge all citizens face to “Measure Candidates’ and Party Leaders’ Actions in Light of the Bill of Rights.” It is clear that many candidates from any Party are quite capable of deception. Citizens need to be capable of discernment of the deception because after individuals are elected to public office or positions of power, it may be too late to grasp that they lied to the public on the campaign trail.
Also, as citizens wrap up Chanukah festivities and as Christians get closer to the Christmas holiday and all the season’s festivities, we hope that amidst all of the distractions or diversions that seeking the truth would not become an afterthought. We hope to empower those who have been awakened to take action to retain our Republic. If the perceptions of our writers are worthy of others’ attention, please share today’s CPR Lifeline Advisory with those who may need a bit of enlightenment. And, in light of all our aggregates and entries today, it is also our hope that readers would please take to heart what they read through this edition.

“The Biblical Basis of the Bill of Rights”

Man’s quest for God’s freedom culminated in what the U.S. Declaration of Independence calls our inalienable rights, which stem from the Ten Commandments. Let me explain what I mean…
Every “Thou Shalt Not” in the 10 Commandments is an inverted right!
As an example, when God explains how to show Him respect and how we should worship Him in Commandments 1-4, He is saying, “We all have a right to show honor and respect to Him in those ways.
When God says, we should not murder, sexually molest, steal from, lie to or about, nor covet one another’s things, He is saying that we each have a right not to have those things happen to us.
From the 9th to the 17th centuries people continually made progress in making the connection between the 10 Commandments and our inalienable rights.
In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson and the rest of the signers of that cornerstone document dramatically state people have “inalienable rights” that are “endowed” to them by a “Creator.” These rights also are called “Natural Rights” and are expressed in the Ten Commandments. This means:
As God explains how we are to worship Him in Commandments one through four, America’s Founding Fathers realized God is saying, “Everyone has a right to worship Him publicly in those ways.” This is why America’s historical buildings have Bible references carved into them in stone - by architectural design, not as the result of college pranksters sneaking around at night to place them there.
In Commandment Five, God explains that He wants honor to be the guiding principle of our families, so the Founding Fathers limited the government's ability to interfere with a family’s faith in God, and their personal desires for how they raise their children and how they inherit their family’s property. The Bible places responsibility for educating children squarely on the shoulders of their parents. (Deut. 6:7, 11:19)
A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse... If a government is breaking the Ten Commandments, it is unjust and we should not have to put up with it.
The Bill of Rights, also known as the first Ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, provided the framework within which our beloved homeland was governed and regulated. Ten provisions were written by America’s founding fathers to guide the government of the newly created United States. The provisions are rooted in the Judeo-Christian based Ten Commandments. These Commandments, and other Biblical principles, are the foundation of the Judeo-Christian ethic, which is the value system America’s Founding Fathers utilized when constructing America’s founding documents.
The Ten Commandments parallel the Bill of Rights. In fact, the Bill of Rights could have been named “The Ten Commandments for Government.” Those who have the basic knowledge of The Ten Commandments understand that they are written in a series of do and don’ts or “Thou shalt nots.” When people obey them, such as Commandment number six, which says ‘Thou shall not murder,” everyone else enjoys the right to not be murdered. In the same manner, when the U.S. federal government obeys its”Thou shalt nots” in the Bill of Rights, then “We the People” enjoy our rights to pursue life, liberty and happiness - as long as we do not violate the Ten Commandments against other citizens while enjoying our own pursuits.
When government obeys the “Bill of Rights” that safeguards the people’s rights, “We the People” enjoy freedom. When government violates the “Bill of Rights” that safeguards the people’s rights, it steals freedom from “We the People.” Since the Ten Commandments express the way God wants a civil society to function, when government violates one of the Bill of Rights and violates one of the Ten Commandments, it is violating the way God wants the people to live.
The Founding Fathers constructed rules for government that are so biblically based that government cannot violate one of them without also violating at least one of the Ten Commandments and vice versa.
Our Inalienable Rights Reflected Through The Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments Paraphrased
God is # 1 and all people are # 2s. Don’t think you are a #2 and I’m a #3. And most of all don’t think you are #1!
We Imitate Our Idols. We tend to imitate what and whom we idolize. Don't make any thing or any person # 1, either. Worshipping things or people warps why we're here.
3. Esteem God’s Name. Never ever use it disrespectfully.
4. Be a Sabbath-Day Seeker. Take one day a week to recognize your relationship with God. Keep at least one day out of seven to be God-focused and to connect to your Creator.
5. Be Faithful to Your Family. Honor your father and mother and all family relationships.
6. Mercy Mitigates Murder. If you want to be a godly person, you must manifest mercy. Esteem the lives God gives others.
7. Sexual Sanctity Satisfies the Soul. The sanctity of marriage is the highest form of commitment among humans, and sexual loyalty builds trust and is the healthiest environment for raising children.
8. Stealing Rips Us Out of God’s Plan for Our Material Blessings. Stealing rips the perpetrator and the victim out of God’s plan for both their material blessings. Imagine how bad it is when the government does it on a mass scale. That is exactly what’s happening. Government initiated theft violates God’s plan for our blessings.
9. Lying Leads Us Astray. The truth is all there is to tell. Slander sells us short. Satan uses the legitimate truth about you in a harmful way. “Oh, look what you’ve done! You are such a terrible person! No one is going to respect you. Wait until people find out.”
Satan never wants the issue to be how Jesus, the Messiah, took upon Himself on the cross the full punishment for our sins to pay for our salvation.
I once read that our government had placed the Oathkeepers organization on the terrorist watch list because they wanted to keep the oath (to protect and defend the Constitution) they took when they entered the service or when they entered law enforcement. It is slander to say that taking an oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution is a terrorist’s act. When people use their government positions to cause one’s nation to slander others - which is to twist the truth about a legitimately good thing and to label it a bad thing - God will curse such a nation.
So, citizens actually vote for candidates who, when elected, bring curses upon America in many ways.
10. Coveting Clouds the Conscience.
You can want what other people have intensely enough so your heart becomes corrupted. You start thinking you have a right to hurt them or do what is unprincipled to obtain what they have. The more we allow ourselves to want what others have, without the checks and convictions God’s Holy Spirit brings into our hearts, the more we will feel justified in wanting it, and taking it from them by force, or by some other underhanded means. The more you hang around with people who have a coveting philosophy (like a political leader saying, “You did not build that”), the more you feel self-righteous about coveting what God has enabled others to develop, create or acquire.
The Founding Fathers recognized the need to guard against government coveting the people’s 4-P’s, meaning your person, your people, your position, and your possessions. Those four things are really under the direction of the sovereignty of God in our lives.
Government covets our persons by making laws that impede the basic self-sovereignty that is endowed to each person by Our Creator. It is an act of evil for governments to make so many laws and to bury them in thousands of pages of convoluted regulations, so that we are always unknowingly in violation of some regulation or statute. Government even has outlawed the basic right God gives us to pray and seek Him publicly according to the scriptures. Deceived government bureaucrats have outlawed praising God for the blessing He’s given America, which is what they do when they want to ban the national anthem being sung at school or other public sporting events. They are on the verge of being so ridiculous that they soon will try to outlaw basic principles of civility, like saying “God bless you” when someone sneezes.
Government covets your people by wanting children in all-day kindergarten, so it can usurp your family’s role in teaching values to our children. It covets your position by creating class warfare, and it covets your possessions, and tries to steal them threw through excessive taxation.
Government makes trade bills to transfer your job/position out of the country. These so-called free-trade policies are transferring our wealth out of the country, so certain products no longer are made in America. They also do this through environmental regulations that are not constitutional laws passed by Congress, but are policies made up by ill-informed and/or deceived people who use government power to steal away the ingenuity and prosperity America developed previously by following God’s ways — as established by America’s Christian Founding Fathers.
Government bureaucrats covet your person and your people. They covet your possessions. They covet your position. Those four things are only under the sovereignty of God. God only wants 10% through tithing. Why should we give the government 35% or 80%? That is government theft on a large scale. God is cursing our nation because of it.
The Ten Commandments express that which both divine love & divine justice require for human relationships! They express loving-justice! They guide individuals and nations to live and function well.
God’s Commandments provide the context and framework for blessing us. They come directly from God’s heart of love and compassion, and when we live by them we bless ourselves and others. The word “blessed” means to “be happy, well-off and content.” When we live by the Ten Commandments, we will be happy, well-off and content in our relationship to God, our families and to society. Therefore, our Founders set out to see to it that our government would help and not ever hinder our ability to be blessed by God, specifically by providing our Bill of Rights.
Earl Wallace is the pastor of Liberty Christian Fellowship Church (LCF), which developed from evangelism provided through a message called “The Biblical Basis of The Bill of Rights (3B-R).” He developed the message as God showed him that America is making the same mistakes Israel made as stated in Judges 2:10 “And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel.” Earl explains the history of how God inspired men to understand that through the Ten Commandments God expresses our unalienable rights. America’s Founding Fathers realized that when God says, "thou shall not murder, steal, lie, nor covet” He is saying that everyone has a right not to be murdered, stolen from, lied to, nor have your people, persons, position nor possessions coveted. The First Amendment of the US Constitution, which begins with “freedom of religion,” is a reflection of 10 Commandments 1-4, in which God explains how we are to worship Him freely and publicly.
Taking ownership of our citizenship means grilling the candidates about how they stand on contemporary issues as measured against the simple paradigm of protecting or destroying our precious freedoms - a true voter’s yardstick.
Measure Candidates’ and Party Leaders’ Actions in Light of the Bill of Rights

Americans who bothered to tune in, who were able to observe the GOP presidential debates may need to use a more time-honored paradigm as a “measuring stick” to determine the real value of the surviving candidates. The persisting lineup of candidates continue their attempts to “enlighten” the American people with their knowledge or wisdom of current problems in America. However, their respective pitches on how they would fix the problems that plague the nation may truly show that some have more knowledge, some have less; some have some wisdom, and some have less, and some may need to fix their view of what they claim to be the real problems.

More recently, Americans who were paying attention witnessed a dramatic upheaval event in which House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his position.
Some are still clueless as to why this unusual upheaval occurred. This ouster may have been a bit more significant than the debates except to serve as mental placemarkers for individual candidates as they pursue their quest for fame, fortune, or power respectively.
Since the days of the 2020 election, the RNC, the controlling face of the GOP, Ronna McDaniel, has denied the existence of significant election discrepancies or irregularities in that election or in the 2022 election. However, this did not stop the RNC from formulating “Election Integrity Projects” across the nation. This initiative was placed in the care of attorney Harmeet Dhillon, who is also someone who has denied any problems with recent elections. Yet, if there were no problems with the elections, why create an election integrity project? Insider GOP information reveals that they are aware of the irregularities in state and federal elections. But, a simple answer would be that the RNC created election integrity projects for the sake of appearances to constituents in order to capitalize on public sentiment and raise money.

Additionally, since the days of J6, the GOP has done little to seriously pursue justice for those who have been unjustly hunted down and grossly overly-incarcerated into a type of political gulag right under their collective noses in Washington, D.C. Such lack of real compassion, or even sustained attention regarding such a blatant injustice sends a very clear message to the American citizens. Of course, the current administration is sending some other type of message to the American people as they have declared citizens who want to voice grievances (which was supposedly protected by the Bill of Rights) as domestic terrorists. In the case of J6 defendants, they were not only labeled, they were also hunted down and incarcerated for extraordinary jail time. Where was the RNC in the fight for genuine justice? Where did GOP candidates in any campaign stand on First Amendment rights? The optics were bad?
Additionally, the recent and relentless attacks against former President Donald Trump have illuminated the existence of the UniParty that more formally emerged from the closet in 2020 to stop Trump from winning that year’s presidential election. This was documented by one of the journalists on the Left, Molly Ball: The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election. Several reactions surfaced at the time regarding the arrogant, self-serving claims that were advanced in that article. And, while some of the reactions were quite dismissive, it is possible the “Never Trumper” wing of the GOP did not like being exposed, so they declared the piece was “irresponsible and unfounded.” Trump himself may have then realized the betrayal by those who are Republicans in Name Only (RINOs). Molly Ball seemed to be unable to refrain from crowing about the victory. It was quite revealing in several ways, despite many responses to her article revealing the vested interests in defeating Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

While the RNC proclaimed: “Nothing to see here,” other views from the grassroots were put forth: The Shadow Conspirators Who Undermined the Republic. Since the days of the Russian hoax, the impeachment theater, and indictment charades, the RNC has striven to appear neutral on the efforts to politically assassinate Donald J. Trump. Yet, those in the grassroots, who are paying attention, and those who care, recognize the constant hounding and legal harassment of President Trump are tactics used by many third world tyrants in stifling opposition to their centralized concentration of power. The difference may be that there is no difference. Tyrants and would-be tyrants mainly want to secure and retain political power. Why would the political- criminal-cabal that Molly Ball revealed in her Time article have any different motivation?
Those who have not been paying attention, or those who have been struggling to ignore the treatment Trump is receiving, will be in for a rude awakening, if they ever do wake up. All the precedents that are being established against Trump can be used against anyone who refuses to comply with the dictates or mandates of installed “leaders.” Trump is the target of a political- criminal-cabal that may be much more extensive than Molly Ball had revealed. And, this cabal is seriously attempting to marginalize, if not destroy him. The proverbial handwriting is on the wall, whether people see it or not. This goes beyond the like or dislike of Trump. Marginalizing Trump as a pariah, the Left can use this tactic against anyone to undermine citizen’s freedoms that had been considered essential in our Bill of Rights.
It is imperative that Americans take ownership of their citizenship
Such an erosion of adherence to our Bill of Rights is not only due to apathy, it is purposeful in at least two ways: 1) there has always been a contingent of Americans who have opposed the Constitution and the Bill of Rights – from the inception of the United States; and 2) there has always been a contingent of Americans who were physically or intellectually lazy, with few or zero principles or values for which they would fight to retain. They wouldn’t mind being blown about by political winds. These two contingents exist today, and it is not hard to identify who they are with a little concentrated effort. Nevertheless, there has always been a contingent of individuals who have been willing to do whatever was needed to sacrifice for Freedom because they truly understood our freedoms are precious. Those individuals are needed today.
In this time, it is imperative that Americans take ownership of their citizenship. It was set up as a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. This must be re-asserted and reaffirmed in such a time as this. To be completely honest, there is no cavalry coming to rescue us and no Marines to land on our shores who will liberate us. God is waiting for citizens to show up and resemble their forefathers who took it upon themselves to give birth to a new nation.

The rights that God provided us are under attack by those who care little or nothing for God-given rights or our precious freedoms as delineated in the Constitution and in the Amendments.
If candidates at any level have little regard for God-given rights or self-evident truths as they relate to current issues of our day, they do not deserve one’s donations and certainly do not deserve one’s vote. Obviously, politicians and candidates can deceive the voters; this is an historical fact--not conjecture. However, taking ownership of our citizenship means grilling the candidates about how they stand on contemporary issues as measured against the simple paradigm of protecting or destroying our precious freedoms - a true voter’s yardstick.
