FOUNDER’S MESSAGE:
Foday is Flag Day and it is the birthday of the Army and it is Donald Trump’s birthday. As it has been previously announced, The Citizen Voice, has been “unhinged” from the Tuesday weekly posting slot. Today’s edition is dedicated to Flag Day. It is our declaration of honoring a deeper level of viewing Flag Day and holding onto the Stars and Stripes as a banner of freedom for “We the People.” And, Happy birthday President Trump!
Moving forward, we offer two articles today, one of them I wrote especially for this Flag Day. I hope our readers can take it in. It is still a very dark time now in America as the growth and spread of evil is encompassing the nation. My message offers a perspective on this time in relation to the birth and the preservation of the Republic. Also a link to an article I wrote in 2017 offering a more clear history of Flag Day and the birth of the army is in the aggregate section.
Our second message is from A. Dru Kristenev and is entitled, “Culture of ‘Me’ driving social, economic decline.” Kristenev covers a lot of territory in this single, densely packed article. We hope readers can catch a glimpse of what patriots are up against as people who love Freedom and the Judeo-Christian heritage that screams out to be revitalized.
Our many changes to our newsletters are still underway, but Google interference seems to be receding to some extent. We will continue our “makeover” aimed at avoiding delivery delay or distribution glitches. We urge our readers to take personal responsibility to avoid such delivery glitches and receive the newsletters without hitches and switch over to our Substack platform. Just sign up the receive our newsletters here: Citizen Voice on Substack
As always, if the perspectives or views of our writers are worthy of others’ attention, please share today’s Citizens Voice with those who may need enlightenment. And, in light of those aggregates and entries today, it is also our hope that readers would please take to heart what they read through this edition. Read, enjoy, absorb and share.
And again we remind readers that our Zoom calls are continuing each Wednesday at 5pm PDT (6pm MDT; 7pm CDT; and 8pm EDT). This coming Wednesday, we will have a discussion on the messages from Sunday – or on Flag Day...

Flag Day and an Army of Freedom to Keep the Republic!
By Dennis Jamison
June 12, 2023
Flag Day in the United States is traditionally celebrated on June 14, and despite some degree of revival in recent years, it is not high on the list of favorite summer holidays like Memorial Day or Independence Day. Even worse, many people in the United States are not aware that on the same day of Old Glory’s birthday, there is a celebration of the birthday of the U.S. Army. And perhaps, it may come as a shock to other Americans that it is the birthday of Donald J. Trump as well. In light of Trump’s recent indictment, courtesy of truly committed Deep State operatives, the effort is representative of the efforts to destroy the rule of law and the entire Republic. The indictment seems intended as a ‘birthday gift’ to president Trump from the Left and those ‘Never Trumper’ Elitists. However, it truly reflects the brokenness of the government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
For those wondering where this is heading, this has much to do with Flag Day. It may not be a coincidence that Trump’s birthday is on the same day as Flag Day, which is the celebration of the birthday of the Stars and Stripes, a symbol of the people who love Freedom. While the significance may be lost on many who have a hard time identifying as Americans who still believe in the foundations of our nation, it is worthwhile to consider the symbolism in the alignment of these three celebrations. The significance is now etched in history.
It is important to note that prior to the creation of the flag and the army, there was no legitimate United States of America for there to be a ‘U.S.’ Army in 1775. This so-called ‘army’ became known as the Continental Army, but was not fully recognized as the nation’s army at that time. It was a disorganized, rag-tag, assemblage of boys and men who decided that they had had enough of being treated like second-class citizens. Yet, as they rose up to defend the right to bear arms, ammunition, powder, and their dignity before the troops of King George III, their own government viewed them as ‘domestic terrorists.’ Eventually, on June 14, 1775, the Second Continental Congress adopted that rag-tag band.
This birth of the army was two years before any Betsy Ross moment because there was still no legitimate U.S. government on June 14, 1777, when Old Glory was born. In each case, the Second Continental Congress extended their own self-proclaimed authority to lay adequate foundations for the future development of a nation. Those who claimed such authority extended that authority to the army and to the flag of “We the People.” As no formalized government had yet been established, the flag originally represented the people – not the government. The army was not the army of the government – it was only people fighting for independence from tyranny.
Today that U.S.A., born so long ago, no longer exists. The evidence is clear. Defending a notion that the nation still resembles what the Founders created is futile. This is not a reference to our technological advancements, population growth, or growth in wealth; it refers to the fundamental root of this nation as a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Respect for this concept, and respect for the rule of law and the Republic, has dissolved rapidly over the past few years. This is most evident in the continuous coordinated attacks against President Donald Trump from the time he took the office of POTUS until the day of this indictment.
Why is this important in relation to Flag Day? It is because today the fabric of Freedom is frayed, tattered and torn. The flag, like Trump, has long been the target of attack. But, the flag has been attacked much longer than Trump; the symbol of Freedom has suffered innumerable attacks. Trump is just the most recent recipient because he is recognized as the leader of the people who love the nation conceived in Liberty.
Trump was right in assessing that he was not the only target. Americans who still strive to hold onto the self-evident truths the Founders revered are the ultimate target. “We the People,” who still believe in the fundamental truths the Founders risked their lives to pass on to us, are now targets. Consider this: Trump is risking himself – even he’s targeted by assassins – but has led the largest popular movement to “make America great again,“ or his version of how to keep the Republic in such a time as this. Why wouldn’t the enemies of Freedom attack him?
Except for those who have been brainwashed by a criminal -political cabal, Trump is viewed by ‘red-blooded’ citizens who love Freedom as a true leader who can help America hold onto the Republic. When the enemies of Freedom can attack one of the most popular presidents in history, assassinate his character, destroy his good works, as well as undermine his legacy, it means that such enemies are able to get away with these crimes regardless of who the target may be. Trump has said the attacks are not only against him; anyone can suffer the same fate.
For some, just the thought of association with Trump is enough to cause good people to justify social distancing from him or rationalize not supporting him – a man who sacrificed so much for the American people. Lest Christians (or those who claim to be) forget, a similar scenario played out as Jesus was arrested and taken to the Sanhedrin in the middle of the night to be ‘tried’ in a kangaroo style court. His closest disciples denied him and ran away in fear. Please note: this is more a commentary on American cowardice than a comparison between Trump and Jesus.
The multiple and ongoing attacks upon Trump represent attacks upon all Americans who want to hold onto the self-evident truths the Founders handed down to their posterity. Recent attacks against the national anthem and the continuing desecration of Old Glory represent attacks upon all symbols of Freedom and those who love the freedoms our Founders secured for us. Also, the recent undermining of the United States’ military is not just symbolic, it reveals attacks against the nation’s capabilities to defend the cause of Freedom.
Today, Flag Day is so much more significant than ever before because the flag, from the beginning, has been a symbol of ‘We the People’ striving for Freedom – not always the government. The flag’s basic symbolism of stars and stripes and symbolism behind the colors represents “We the People,” past and present striving for Freedom. Great thought went into the flag by brave and brilliant people who stood and strove for independence. And, the flag was born before independence was secured – before anyone knew America would be born.
Never has there been a more dire time to defend the Republic. America needs a new birth of freedom – a renewal of the government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Those who love Freedom must awaken and awaken others, must arise, and stand with others who are aligned with God and other patriots, to find the way to keep the Republic. Although the Biden Administration may want to see the Stars and Stripes replaced by a rainbow flag, a new ‘Army of Freedom’ must reclaim the banner of the Stars and Stripes as the symbol of the people, not the symbol of government. Those who love Freedom and the principles woven into our nation’s founding documents should consider that a new ‘Army of Freedom’ must rally around Old Glory as their banner of Freedom – long may that banner yet wave…
Culture of “Me” driving social, economic decline
By A. Dru Kristenev ——Bio and Archives--June 11, 2023
Debt ceiling reruns, outstripping Congress’ past inactivity by placing no budget restrictions in the “deal” laced with language intended to mystify the public (and give cover to media and politicians), allowed self-focused representatives to ignore government overspending. Riots, looting, shooting, warmongering, Green New Dealing, social media influencing, loitering, drugging, and flat-out laziness were essentially green-lighted to continue at a runaway rate, all on the federal (our) dime.
Amid the nation’s cratering economy and infrastructure, individuals have been taught to concentrate on fulfilling their personal needs, which expectations are being methodically deflated. Media and public education have indoctrinated younger generations to believe essential necessities are limited to having cell phones, cash for their favorite beverage, drug, game or sensual indulgence, and a place to crash, preferably financed by someone else. Travel and expanding their experiences in the wider world has been discouraged except virtually or vicariously.
Social mantras promote preoccupying oneself with physical and emotional amusement to the exclusion of critical thought and, certainly, the concept of serving others
Focus in modern culture has been purposely narrowed down to limit hopes and dreams, that nothing is more important than satisfying the meanest of natural urges. Social mantras promote preoccupying oneself with physical and emotional amusement to the exclusion of critical thought and, certainly, the concept of serving others. State supported self-indulgence has empowered governmental agencies to exert control over the “masses,” as Marx would call ignorant adherents that could be described as victims of distraction.
Magnanimity has been replaced by the culture of “Me.” Importance must be assigned to personal gratification and others’ needs relegated to secondary or non-consideration. Philanthropy has been redefined to mean billionaire “stakeholders” financing “green” technology-based economies, further debasing the poor with empty promises of prosperity.
“Climate change” is the catch-all vehicle employed to turn individuals’ focus inward. Filling heads with myths that they must save the earth by downsizing their “carbon footprint” can be interpreted as disregarding the greater good of industry that fuels economic growth, and catering to personal pleasures is superior to supplying others’ essential needs.
The ultimate result of the twisted theories bolstering the culture of “Me” is the perpetration of destructive acts to “prove” a fact that can’t be proven by natural or lawful mechanisms.
Blaming everything on climate change such as the monstrous fires that are sweeping Canada and have engulfed the Northwest over the past 15 years, is well-founded in one aspect – arsonists are often climate change activists putting into practice what theory doesn’t support: setting the West ablaze. Not every wildfire is sparked by lightning striking drought-ridden forests and fields. Whether drought, flood, blizzard or gale, they cannot scientifically be proven to track back to extreme climate swings. Then again, some wonder if the smoke engulfing the east may partially be due to some other cause
Climate change advocates (true conspiracy theorists) are crippling access to electricity by applying pressure to decommission power plants
Cracking down on carbon releasers (you can’t produce, i.e. create, an element that already exists), climate change advocates (true conspiracy theorists) are crippling access to electricity by applying pressure to decommission power plants, believing the lie that wind and solar can fill the energy gap. It can’t. According to Just The News reporting, NERC President James B. Robb said as much. “The electric grid is operating ever closer to the edge,” and that there would be “more frequent and more serious disruptions” [power outages]. He also noted that natural gas generated the power that “keeps the lights on.”
Apparently, self-appointed saviors of the earth are little bothered by the prospect of a literal dark age until, of course, they can no longer charge their personal electronics, let alone their electric cars.
In the same vein, the Me-ists expending herculean efforts to maintain their positions of power will implicate dissenters, particularly those in leadership roles, by any means at their disposal including manufactured offenses. This illicit strategy is what the Biden administration is implementing against his strongest contender come 2024, President Trump.
Transgender zealots may best embody the culture of “Me” in their self-focus, personal indulgence, indolence and emotional instability more than any other group for forcing their genocidal ideology on all within hearing or sight. ‘Genocidal’ is not applied lightly but with intent, recognizing that the LGBTQ agenda bullies pre-pubescent youth to question their sex and take drastic measures thinking they can change their physical body. In the end, their birth sex cannot be changed, only subverted and physically mutilated causing sterilization, which is an attack on procreation and the continuity of the human race. Hence the visual assaults of practically naked pride paraders, and coercing public venues to sponsor drag queen events to achieve their foolhardy but diabolical depopulation objective.
Transgender zealots may best embody the culture of “Me” in their self-focus, personal indulgence, indolence and emotional instability
One more step beyond the indoctrination of children by openly exposing them to self-obsessed sexual deviants is the craven commercial enterprise of human trafficking. That the United States is the largest market for women and children sold into sex slavery, and that Biden’s open border policy is knowingly aiding this industry, should horrify the average citizen.
Statistics regarding how many babies, toddlers, young children and teens disappear into the country’s interior after being smuggled across the border by the cartels (which Texas Governor Abbott finally designated “terrorists”) have surpassed the official number of 85,000. The question is, how many government officials, both highly placed and administrative grunts, are benefiting financially from these crimes against humanity? It should be asked of every candidate how they will deal with shutting down a $150 billion a year industry (as of 2020)… or will they turn a blind eye as the current White House occupant has done.
When the culture of “Me” has become a culture of devaluing human life to gratify degenerate proclivities and pad bank accounts, the possibility of redemption is fast slipping away.
Hard as it is to grasp how degradation overtakes a nation when individuals center their thoughts on themselves, their desires and the need to control their environment and everyone else’s, it won’t stop if the rest of us stay silent. That is acquiescence – unacceptable complicity.
