America’s follow-through of her mantra “we will leave no one behind” has always been a bright reflection of American values. The value of the individual in our society is reflected by our continued effort to retrieve the remains of the fallen in North Korea even now, nearly 70 years after the conflict ended.
Sadly, the Biden Administration never gave that promise a thought as it hastily left Afghanistan. In fact, it has placed roadblocks in front of those brave and patriotic Americans who have worked tirelessly to rescue those who have been abandoned by their President. This week Jim Bratten’s article, Surrender and Sabotage, recaps the plight of those left behind in Afghanistan. It is an eye-opener!
This is a great example of the kind of writing that will never be seen in the main-stream media. Share it with your friends and family so they, too, can get the full picture.
We reiterate what was stated last week: “While our enemies become more bold, the highest and most immediate risk to our nation comes from within.”
Ironically, today is a day supposedly observed as The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day"). September 21 was established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, to provide one globally shared date for the people on the planet “to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.” Today, Joe Biden met with the Secretary General of the United Nations in New York City. Unfortunately, far too few people really understand the “things that make for peace.” And, by “peace,” it is not equated it with “rest in peace” when death has claimed someone. Nor, does it equate with a “Pax Romana” in which people were sent to rest in peace when they disagreed with the mighty Roman Empire.
North Korea was mentioned previously, and it serves as a strong example of the belligerent “saber-rattling” nations, yet there is a rising popular movement within Korea and within nations outside of this divided peninsula to bring reconciliation and peace on terms in alignment with the Declaration of Independence. We have a book review dealing with one small effort that is also aligned with seeking peace rather than war. Unfortunately, the article did not get past a deadline for posting today. Please look for the article by Charles Rein in Thursday’s edition. And, please keep hope alive for peace in the world as if it can happen on the Korean peninsula, it could be possible throughout this war-torn world. And, do not place false hope in the United Nations. It no longer represents the dream od world peace except for some public relations gimmickry with an
Illusion of such a noble goal. The U.N. would not exist if it were not for the United States.
An informed citizenry is vital for our future. The Citizens Voice provides information that the mainstream media hopes people don’t hear. Forward these newsletters to your friends and let them see, first hand, that there is more than one side to a story. Then they will begin to understand the peril that our nation is in and be able to make informed decisions.
That is why we urge citizens to take ownership of the responsibility to keep the Republic.
Ownership of our Republic is now the fight of our time! Keeping our Republic depends upon the genuine sense of ownership of the Land of the Free. Either this is our country, or it will belong to those who are actively seeking to take it from us. It is the same mentality that inspired someone long ago to express the sentiment that “All it takes for evil to triumph is that good people do nothing.” Efforts to take responsibility for keeping this nation a free Republic are organically occurring right now all across the nation.
We love our readers because we believe that our readers are well-educated about the events in our nation that are essential to understanding the bigger picture. Knowledge, Truth, as well as Understanding, not ignorance, will help “We the People” to accept responsibility for keeping our Republic. We are also extremely grateful for all of our compatriots who have given us donations.

Sabotage and Surrender
By Jim Bratten
Director, Hoosier Patriots
September 20, 2021
The time-honored American promise that we never leave our people behind was never a consideration for the Biden Regime, its state department or defense department. The order was given to leave, so the Armed Forces of the United States in Afghanistan left, the State Department deserted our embassy, and thousands of Americans were left behind enemy lines. When Biden surrendered to the Taliban, however, he wiped away any “enemy lines.” The enemy was now his friend, apparently, since he trusted them implicitly with the lives of abandoned Americans and Afghan allies.
The U.S. State Department has blatantly ignored the “no man left behind” credo of America, held throughout our history, outrageously obstructing rescue flights designed to honor that credo, while giving excuses (lies) at press conferences.
Biden dismantled a rescue plan of evacuation days before his Afghanistan surrender commenced. The Contingency and Crisis Response Bureau (CCRB), a crisis management team set up by President Trump, was unceremoniously deleted by the Biden State Department. The plan that replaced it was titled, “None.” The evacuation of our people and their support person nel was now the total responsibility of the barbarous, murderous Taliban.
To rescue Americans and Afghan interpreters left behind enemy lines, retired Special Forces members and other assorted veterans (private citizens) gathered their resources and financing, then hired aircraft and crews and mounted a rescue operation dubbed the “Pineapple Express.” At nearly every turn, they were thwarted or hampered by the U.S. government. One American veterans group that organized an airlift evacuation was told by a senior officer in the 82nd Airborne on site in Kabul to turn the bus around that had transported evacuees to the airport for an awaiting aircraft!
Biden’s State Department shut down all evacuation flights over the weekend of August 28 and 29. Once more, refugees that were brought by bus to the Kabul airport by members of the Pineapple Express and other volunteer rescue groups were stopped by the U.S. military, per orders from the State Department, and turned back from the Kabul airport.
The U.S. Army Special Forces Tenth Group had assets to evacuate, so they called on “private warriors” for help in rescuing their valuable informants, who would certainly be killed by the Taliban once they were identified using one of the 7,000 biometric scanners we left behind at Bagram. The Tenth Group also faced “barriers.”
Then on September 5, we heard that Americans and Afghan translators on six aircraft were denied takeoff by the Taliban from an airport in northern Afghanistan. This was the first of many hostage situations that will develop in the coming days, all due to cowardice and treasonous behavior from Joe Biden and his lackeys. An alleged president who changed intelligence, left Americans behind as victims of barbarous Islamists as he surrendered the field of battle and armed that enemy, had lied repeatedly throughout the ugly debacle.
Eric Montalvo, a retired U.S. Marine and military law attorney who organized rescue flights into Afghanistan for evacuees was hampered by the U.S. State Department every step of the way. He received what was essentially a “cease and desist” letter, demanding he stop his rescue activities. In part, it said, “...no charities are allowed to land at a DoD (Department of Defense) base and most if not all countries in the Middle Eastern region... You need to find another destination country, and it can’t be the U.S. either.”
Our State Department continues to sabotage the rescues of Americans and Afghans by private interests. “Wall Builders” and the “Nazarene Fund” had chartered flights into Afghanistan that were denied takeoff to leave for sanctuary countries for over a week. Can we say sabotage?
