The Amalekites Defeated
Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Moses said unto Joshua, “Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek:
tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.”
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
And the Lord said unto Moses, “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

Haman’s Reprisal
AFTER these things King Akhshirash promoted Haman the son of Hammadatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.
And all the king's servants who were at the king's gate bowed down and did obeisance to Haman; for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai would not bow nor pay him reverence. Then the king's servants who were at the king's gate said to Mordecai, Why do you transgress the king's commandment?
Now it came to pass when they spoke daily to him and he would not listen to them, they told Haman, to know whether Mordecai's words were the truth; for he had told them that he was a Jew.
And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow down, nor do him obeisance, then Haman was full of wrath against Mordecai. And he thought it nothing to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had revealed to him the people of Mordecai; wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Akhshirash, even the people of Mordecai.
Decree Against the Jews
In the first month, that is, the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Akhshirash, they cast lots before Haman from day to day and from month to month. Then in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, Haman said to King Akhshirash, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of King Akhshirash; and their laws are different from those of all other people; and they do not keep the king's laws; therefore the king ought not to spare them. If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed; and I will weigh ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those who have charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries. FOUNDER’S MESSAGE:
Last week, we completed the second part of a long sermon from Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. His words have a great deal of relevance for the citizens of America in our own time. However, in the month of February, I had a couple of my own messages about our current times. These two messages focused on the vision that President Donald J. Trump is currently serving in the role of a Moses for the American people. Today, we offer a third part of my message, and it has more to do with the American people than it does with Trump, although it is interconnected to Trump and his position, and that requires distinguishing between Trump, the man, and Trump as the President of the United States.
In a similar manner, it must be clear to most people who read the Bible that Moses was a man, but he was serving in the position as a major leader of his people. Trump is simply a man – a very capable man – yet he is now serving in the position of the President of the United States. It is a position established by the Constitution, resting upon the foundation of the Declaration of Independence. Nevertheless, the disrespect of that office has existed in American history since the beginning of our nation. However, the position of POTUS has helped this nation survive in some of the greatest tests Freedom has had to endure. America is facing another challenge in our time – Freedom is facing yet another challenge.
Last week, during President Trump’s address before the Joint Session of Congress, many American citizens could observe the outward signs of the confrontation our nation faces. The political opposition (not just a Party – but a mindset) was demonstrative – like a child that has had candy taken away. When such a ‘travesty’ occurs, the younger the child, the greater the tantrum. The opposition to America’s greatness, to American ideals, and to the American people was on full display by the juvenile demonstration during the speech. The demonstration of such self-absorbed, arrogant adolescents was obvious. It helps citizens understand why Zelensky brought such an arrogant attitude to the meeting in the Oval Office last week. He may have been severely infected with such contagion in his meetings with arrogant Democrats.
The behavior on the floor of Congress by the Democrats was juvenile, and reflected adolescent immaturity on the part of adult men and women who have been trusted to “run the country.” But, more than the outward display of emotional ignorance was the sense of the intense hatred that exists behind the stoic faces of these “leaders.” We have been exploring in the past two weeks the message of Rev. Martin Luther KIng, Jr. on "Keep Moving from This Mountain." He outlined four four symbolic mountains: relativism, materialism, segregation, and violence that he viewed as challenges to our future development as a human race. In his final point, he stated: “we have been in the mountain of corroding hatred and crippling violence long enough.” Humanity has so much history rooted in hate that it almost seems inescapable. And, yet one could sense that the Democrat Party has been so corroded by hatred that it can no longer function effectively.
Right as we begin the month of March, which is designated as Women’s History Month, we see this demonstration of hatred. During this month, in an interesting parallel in history, an incredibly courageous woman had to confront a similar form of hatred at the risk of her life. Her name was Esther, and this week, on Thursday evening, begins the festival of Purim. This Jewish holiday marks the time in which the Hebrew people escaped annihilation at the hands of a powerful enemy within the government. There are certainly parallels between the evident existential crisis Americans have just recently been going through and this existential crisis of the Hebrew people in Esther’s time, which was around 400 years before the coming of Jesus. But that will have to wait for another edition.
Today’s edition addresses our time. I have written the first part of a two-part message dealing with Americans and our response to Donald Trump in view of his position as a Moses figure. My message is entitled: “Americans’ Choice: to Follow Trump Out of ‘Egypt’ or Remain Behind.” I have submitted my humble observations of Trump in such a position and the message today is connected to such a premise. As I mentioned last week, “our challenge is similar to what the freedom fighters in the Civil Rights Movement had to face in their day, although segregation is not the same in our time. It has become a wider issue rooted in identity-politics and an effort to segregate white people through marginalization.” Donald Trump just happens to be the latest poster child of the Marxists to symbolize all that is “evil” befalling humanity in such a time. He has become just one more of the prime targets for total character assassination - and outright political assassination. Christopher Columbus was the first target of character assassination. Read today’s message; it could make some sense to genuine Americans.
BTW - remember that Daylight Savings starts today. Saving America should start today as well!

Americans’ Choice: to Follow Trump Out of ‘Egypt’ or Remain Behind

WHEN in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.
We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—-That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security…
These words begin the Declaration of Independence – an independence fought for, and for which people died in order to create a better life for their children – a better system of government for humanity. The current state of the nation could carry the Declaration into our time: “Such has been the patient Sufferance of the American Citizens; and such is now the Necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.“
The American citizens just did alter the former “systems of government” under the political ruling class and UniParty that has knowingly misappropriated the tax dollars that the American citizens willingly provided to the previous system of government in a trusting manner that such money is respected and was to be spent on behalf of the people for worthy operations, procedures, and projects in alignment with the ideals and values embedded in the Declaration of Independence and the principles and God-given rights established in the United States’ Constitution. With the new Administration, the truth is coming into the daylight. One may wonder why the truth was not coming to light previously. The answer could be all too obvious: something about “vested interests” – or “self-centered motivations.”
Christians should ask: How well does this resonate with ”Seek ye first His Kingdom and His Righteousness?” We are supposed to be a Christian nation – unless one is paying attention to Barack Obama and his operatives more than the words of Jesus.
Much has been developing and being exposed to the light of day in recent weeks, not only in the United States, but across the world. Nevertheless, for the sake of a basic focus, the primary message here will examine the choice American citizens must face in the two year period prior to the next series of elections. In my humble opinion, as a nation of people (whether we agree or disagree with our present set of circumstances), we have just separated from a system of government that has been obvious to many as a self-destructive system of government. This may be obvious to some, while others may be oblivious to this, depending on their sources of information.
Poor sources of information, providing limited or false information, voter’s can be expected to make poor choices at the ballot box. With solid sources of information reflecting more the accuracy and truth behind current events, or plans that affect people’s lives dramatically, it is possible that people can be expected to make intelligent choices or decisions at the ballot box.
Thus, the control of the flow of information, or the quality of the content of general information in a Constitutional Republic can determine the manner of decision-making with regard to fair and honest elections. This would be a major factor determining the outcome of elections, providing that the elections are fair, honest and legitimate. If elections are not fair and honest, this factor would create another major obstacle for the healthy functioning of a Free Republic.
These points are made because many good and honest people have uncovered what has been hidden about the functioning of the system of government that citizens of this nation have long been tolerating because “governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes.” These points are made because a good many people in this nation are in a state of confusion over the kind of government system under which the U.S. government is currently operating. There has been a slide away from a Constitutional Republic since the start of the nation, but it became a more significant slide after our nation almost died during the Civil War. However, since the time of the Korean War, the nation has been under attack from enemy nations and serious adversaries – primarily the Communist nations – for they use a system of government which is very simple: tyranny, and tyranny by any other name is basically slavery. Those nations incorporate an ideology, to one degree or another, to justify their tyranny. The ideology is Marxism, which is a God-denying system of thought. To Christians, who are awake, it is one representation of the anti-Christ.
The darkness, or confusion, clouding the vision of American citizens has also been due to much disinformation or clever propaganda from our enemies, which has been so much easier to jam into gullible or naive minds since the invention of the computers and the internet. A significant amount of the deception targeting the American people comes into their presence because it is invited, or permitted, to enter their minds without question, or a sense of need to verify the truth, one way or another. Truth is one of the first casualties in such an “Information Age.”
In such an environment, I have submitted that Donald Trump could be considered in the role of Moses – not because he is bringing the word of God to the people, but because he has the will to help the people ‘escape’ from the deception. One may ask: “How would he know it is deceit or deception?” In my humble estimation, Trump is very savvy and he grew up over time being in the presence of people who were good at deception, and he knew how such people operated – he could observe their public face and their private personalities. He may have accumulated any number of bad habits by living his life in such proximity to deceitful people. It is, however, within Trump to consider the well-being of people, and the general well-being of the people, and thus the nation. He understands that investing in people (the right people) is powerful. I believe God sees this in Trump as well. I believe it is why Heavenly Father spared this man in order to help this nation stay alive and to rekindle America’s original mission, which is to help the world.
One must realize that Trump has assembled a cabinet of outspoken activists whom I designate the “Justice League of America.” They are on his team not to just take up space at the table, but have a visible esprit de corps to each focus on one particular system of the federal government that failed the American people. It must also be pointed out here that the American people have failed as well. First, the concept of our government at one time had been, as Abraham Lincoln reminded us, “a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” It means we are the government, but we have abdicated our collective responsibility as citizens to be participants in that government, and not just spectators. This also means that we have not held government representatives to a strong standard of accountability for their actions. This is comparable to the Parable of the Vineyard (Matthew 21:33-46) in which Jesus related the story of how vineyard tenants took over the vineyard, in defiance of the owner, even killing the heir.
Who are the real owners of this nation? Could it be those whom we have elected to do the jobs we do not want to take responsibility to perform? The true owners of the Republic are coming to do the jobs most are too lazy or too repulsed to do for fear of getting their hands dirty in the very disgusting world of politics. It is amazing to see the magnitude and persistence of the enemies of the Republic in their attacks against Donald Trump and his allies and friends. But, what is even more amazing is that despite such attacks, Donald Trump has not given in, and at the same time, he has raised up the Justice League of America to help him in his effort to help America.
In the case for Trump being in the role of a Moses figure, it is not being argued he is a “man of God” in a traditional sense, nor is he speaking God’s word (but he refers to God in his speeches more than any other POTUS I can remember). However, he is defending the American people from falsehood, deliberate disinformation, and deception, so citizens are no longer being easily mis-informed and misled. He is also working to separate the nation (through the capability he can exercise via the Constitution) from the systems of government that have been instituted in America that are destructive of people’s God-given rights and those that undermine the will of the people. In one way or another, he is taking his responsibility seriously to act as a true owner of the Republic to alter or abolish those forms of government that have become detrimental to the Constitutional Republic, and he appears to be re-establishing the founding principles for the sake of the general well-being, safety and happiness of all Americans.
Is it not wise to support such a man in such an endeavor? To be brutally honest, it is obviously doubtful that there is any unanimity of such support – even though it is in our best interests as a people and as a nation. Americans who were watching, or who have seen the video recordings, of Trump’s address to the Joint session of Congress would have received multiple messages regarding the quality of man Trump represents, the infantile behavior of the opposition, and the quality of people who are in support of his efforts as POTUS. The real challenge for American citizens in such a time as this is whether we can keep moving out of the spiritual wasteland we have been inhabiting and into the “Golden Age.” An old adage may apply here. The expression is that when one is going through Hell, they need to keep going in order to move beyond it. Mr. Trump has a responsibility that he has taken upon himself, to help us keep moving out of the Hell we have been wallowing in recently, However, each of us have a responsibility (accept it or not), to keep supporting the forward movement. But, that is tied to our choice as a people.
The basic choice became obvious as I viewed Trump’s address to Congress last week. There are many who are caught up with the freshness and energy of the new administration, but the American people have a long way to go to the “Promised Land.” There are many who are in support of what the Trump Team is doing to help us move beyond the systems of government that have ked us into this abyss. We could see them cheering and standing in support of what the president is accomplishing and what he intends to fulfill. However, there are many who are not in support, and they were quite visible as well. It became obvious that they were so filled with hate that they seemed apoplectic. The words of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. came back to me at that time. In his sermon, "Loving Your Enemies," he revealed:
…hate distorts the personality of the hater. We usually think of what hate does for the individual hated or the individuals hated or the groups hated. But it is even more tragic, it is even more ruinous and injurious to the individual who hates. You just begin hating somebody, and you will begin to do irrational things. You can’t see straight when you hate. You can’t walk straight when you hate. You can’t stand upright. Your vision is distorted. There is nothing more tragic than to see an individual whose heart is filled with hate. He comes to the point that he becomes a pathological case. For the person who hates, you can stand up and see a person and that person can be beautiful, and you will call them ugly. For the person who hates, the beautiful becomes ugly and the ugly becomes beautiful. For the person who hates, the good becomes bad and the bad becomes good. For the person who hates, the true becomes false and the false becomes true. That’s what hate does. You can’t see right. The symbol of objectivity is lost. Hate destroys the very structure of the personality of the hater.
King had a front row seat to that kind of hatred being manifested against him and fellow citizens in the Deep South during the Civil Rights Movement. He suffered at the hands of such hate, and in that time, Americans began to see the ugliness and wickedness of what their fellow citizens were up against. Americans began to wake up to the oppression of human beings in our midst – right under our noses in the Land of the Free. He understood hatred first hand. Americans were able to witness that kind of hatred on their television consoles or on their computer screens as they watched the dynamic unfold in the chambers of our Congress. And so, we have come to the “time of choosing” as Ronald Reagan had prophesied. In my humble observation, we have a choice. We can listen to the voices of hatred, divisiveness and division that tell us: “Orange man is bad.” Or, we can trust that God knows what He is doing is sparing this one man’s life to keep Americans moving farther away from a very toxic system of government the haters had created right under our noses. Why would people stake their lives upon lies? As for me, I’d trust in God.
