Judgement Over the Golden Calf
When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.
He said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?”
“Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered. “You know how prone these people are to evil. They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’ So I told them, ‘Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.’ Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!”
Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies. So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, “Whoever is for the Lord, come to me.” And all the Levites rallied to him.
Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’ ” The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.”
The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”
So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.”
The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.”
And the Lord struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made. Exodus 32:19-35 (NIV)
FOUNDER’S MESSAGE:
Last year’s election outcome may have shocked the people intent upon destroying America, as the election predictions from the mainstream propagandists failed to ‘push’ Americans to vote for the socialist agenda of the Democrat Party. As we have had time to digest it, it is very clear Donald Trump won the election is has taken command of the ship of state. This had happened
despite all the machinations of the Democrat leadership to de-select Joe Biden, replace the questionable POTUS with another ‘undynamic duo’ to campaign for the highest office in the land, as well as all the other political shenanigans surrounding the election process (massive illegal immigrant voting and dubious international ballots, just to name a couple of the other shadowy or unConstitutional activities). The outcome may have been a shock to many “Never Trumpers” and compromised Christians as well, but the fact remains that Trump made an incredible comeback to become POTUS. But, his mission is just beginning.
By now, readers have become acquainted with my perspective that Donald Trump is serving in the role of a Moses figure for America for such a time as this. This perception has been offered in a number of LightWing editions that focused upon the dire situation American citizens have found themselves in at this time in our history. The first of those editions, not long after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, featured a message I wrote about parallels between the Hebrew people enslaved in Egypt and the American people deceived and dominated in this time. CSN Sunday LightWing Messages America’s Conviction to Stand United for Freedom - 8/11/2024 The message was not a tongue-in-cheek piece, as I wrote it in earnest to explore some parallels in the politics of the past compared to the present.
The message came after we offered a sermon from Rev. Charles Finney delivered on August 16, 1843, just 18 years before the devastating American “Civil War.” That war, fought between the Confederate States rebelling against the Constitution and those states supporting it, has left several internal scars upon the nation. The theme of that edition was the “Love of Liberty in our Legacy” with Finney’s sermon as the featured message related to our time in which liberty is being threatened in America once again. Rev. Finney’s concept of the “yoke of bondage” seemed to me to be expressing the concept of the internal ownership of the quest for Freedom. His message sparked in me the realization of parallels between America in Finney’s day and America today. But then, a much deeper understanding of the parallels in the loss of freedom between America and ancient Egypt evolved from that. The article I was inspired to write the following week was lengthy and was posted in two parts, and it was titled: “Parallels between Slavery of the Hebrews in Egypt and the Current Atheistic Dominion over American Citizens of Faith (parts 1 + 2).”
This parallel that I grasped was that the pursuit of Freedom existed long before it came to America, and God’s intent has always been that His children live in Freedom. This is most evident in that humankind has been endowed with Free Will. From the beginning God has always enabled His children the freedom to choose what they preferred, so several hard questions need to be answered by God’s children in such a time as this. One basic question I brought up in the subsequent edition was whether America still had a role to play in God’s Providence.
The “millimeter miracle” in July demonstrated that God was not finished with Trump or America. Subsequently, as evidenced, the election outcome in 2024 was another miracle – “against all odds,” Donald J. Trump won the presidential election in a stunning manner. It answered the real obvious question as to whether there was a strong leader, who is wrestling with the Pharaoh-like tyrants of this time? This is evident. Yet, in this time, the real challenge for America is whether we as a people can follow President Trump in the role of a Moses figure. The real challenge he has at this time is to keep his campaign promises to the American people, but also whether the American people will give him the leeway to fulfill those promises without buying into the mental poisoning of the mainstream propaganda outlets. In a subsequent message, offered at the time of the celebration of Passover and at the traditional beginning of the Christian Holy Week, I put forward the question: “Will Americans Align with or Resist Trump?” This week’s message offers a continuation of such a question now that there is a record of his first months in office. It is not just a political question, but it also has to deal with the spiritual dimension as Trump re;lates to God’s Providence in our time. Trump himself has recently portrayed himself as one who is “on a mission from God.” Again, the more relevant question that Americans should ask is whether Trump, himself, is aligned with the will of God to resurrect America as a Land of the Free.
These words are being freely offered to you – intended to shine light unto our paths, as written: “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 - KJV
May God bless our readers and all of their loved ones. May God bless All His Children!
May we humble ourselves, seek God’s face, sincerely repent, and turn from our wicked ways to genuinely trust in Heavenly Father’s concern for His children. May we truly place our trust in God and in His chosen champions. May we constantly walk the path of truth, righteousness, and goodness in such toxic and turbulent times. May we earnestly seek His Kingdom and His righteousness in our time.
Do Americans View Trump as an Agent of God?
By Dennis Jamison – 6/20/25
By Dennis Jamison – 6/20/25
I have offered numerous reasons why I believe Donald J. Trump is one who serves in a role of a Moses figure for the people of the United States in such a time as this. One of the fundamental problems we have as Americans is that we have huge egos, and Trump is no exception, and it may be possible that he has one of the biggest egos in the entire nation. It is for such a basic reason that proud Americans would not recognize Trump as a Moses figure for this nation. Yet, there is so much more than inflated egos that would diminish Trump’s role or value to Americans who foster hatred towards the man, but even more hatred towards this nation and the heritage of Judaism and Christianity at its foundation.
Many people in this nation, who get their main information from the mainstream media outlets, which are essentially political propaganda machines, have little connection with the view that God may have – a more Heavenly perspective. Because they do not honestly know God, they miss God’s viewpoint on the contemporary events unfolding in our nation and around the world. Just as secular humanism has flooded into this nation from multiple humanistic sources, now it is hard to comprehend current events from a higher vantage point than the talking heads of the corporate ‘news’ networks, or the propagandists of print media. Thus, it is likely a majority of the people in the U.S. would not even think anyone could be on a mission from God because the dominant MSM in the nation would not have the capability to even consider such a viewpoint from Heaven’s perspective because those spokespersons have no belief in God. If they have no real belief in God, they are not capable of a relationship with God unless some outside force acts upon them - as the comparable spiritual law to the physical law of inertia. This means such messaging should not be expected to come from such sources. Overall, this reflects incomplete understanding of world events, and it certainly would eliminate the possibility of the “journalistic professionals” viewing Trump as a man on a mission from God. He can say it, but professional journalists with incomplete or anemic views may not be able to handle such “religious heresy.”
It never ceases to amaze me that people who claim to be ‘religious’ or who want to comment on God-related narratives have trouble with other religious leaders because of their own egos and it ends up with an exposure of their own hypocrisy in expressing their “love of one’s neighbor.” I think Jesus referred to the phenomenon of the speck in the eye of one brother vs. the log in the eye of the other. The other side of this ‘coin’ seems to be the ones in the mainstream media who cannot resist the temptation to comment on religious issues or phenomena with a partial view of reality - which is comparable to any incomplete piece of work: a homework assignment that was completed only halfway, or an unfinished article in a newspaper, half of a movie (that would be really frustrating), or even comparable to a bicycle with no tires, a car with no engine, or a tall building with no elevator. We who have faith need to start being more clear about our perceptions being more complete that the anemic views of so-called “professionals.”
Nevertheless, the honest to goodness concern is whether the regular American people on their own can view or recognize Trump as a man on a mission from God. Yet, a much better question to start from would be whether God recognizes Trump as an instrument of His Will – as a central figure in God’s Providence. In essence, if people expect the mainstream propaganda machines to view Trump in that way, it would be an exercise in futility. Nevertheless, if one would humble themselves (diminishing ego and self-pride) and think about God sparing Trump’s life last July, it is possible to conclude that God is not done with Trump in such a time as this. And, this being true, it would be safe to conclude that God is not finished with America yet. He does still need this Republic in His Providence. And do not expect mainstream media atheists or social media morons to help anyone with the way of God’s Providence. It is not even easily discernible from any confused faith leaders or politically poisoned Christians. Here and there and all around us, there are examples of the secular or those conflicted in their faith trying to define what genuine people of faith are trying to say, or what they can believe in, or what they should not believe in, as if they were the ones to guide the rest of us in the true interpretation of, or pursuit of our faith. It is crucial that we do not let the “Egypt around us” poison our beliefs or our ways.
God’s Providence is real, but not to those who deny God. Regardless of atheists, Heavenly Father’s Providence unfolds throughout the span of time, as it has advanced in the past. It did not end because the Bible concluded with the book of Revelation. It did not end because people of faith no longer think about it, let alone talk about it. It did not end because atheists have no clue or sense of spiritual reality. God’s Providence advances currently and moves through the present and into humanity’s future – with or without people’s ability to perceive it, accept it, or easily understand it. God does not need to get humanity’s comprehension, nor an approval, to move His Providence onward. However, He still seeks good people to invite Him into their daily lives and receive His guidance – His vision – to work that Providence across the globe, or to just work on becoming a better person, a person of integrity, on the individual level.
Heavenly Father still seeks to manifest and promote goodness to triumph over evil. He still has need of His children to substantiate His Will on Earth as Jesus taught in “The Lord’s Prayer. Is the Christian faith not intended to be more than an intellectual exercise. For those who consider themselves Christians, it is a sincere challenge of ones’ real faith to not just profess words of faith. Is God not still seeking goodness to triumph, seeking good people to bring Him into their daily lives, and with His vision, practice doing good, and constantly seek the Freedom of His domain – His Kingdom. Is that so distant from what President Trump is striving to do in such a time as this within the limitations with which he is challenged?
When It is considered carefully, it is possible to see that throughout human history, God has used unlikely people to perform unlikely tasks to advance His Providence. His absolute Will is to advance His Providence. It is with this firm perspective that in our time, Donald Trump shows up as a strong and capable leader serving Providence as a significant catalyst for positive change for the American people and to retain the Republic and to strive for peace in the world. Yet, how many Americans consider things carefully and logically? The Leftists and Marxists play upon an individual’s emotional responses to stupid or heartless actions the government has taken, and one’s emotional responses are often not grounded in reason – they are often unhinged replies or responses rooted in nothing more than one’s ‘feelings’ and often ignore the truth of matters. How many Americans today even know their own history? Do the millions of immigrants know it? Do the millions of children of the immigrants know it? Do the millions of children of those immigrants (who were not taught U.S. history properly) know it? Do all of the millions of illegal immigrants know U.S. history? Without properly knowing our past, we are doomed to repeat it.
Pursuing the logic by considering the historical record, and considering the course of human history, there are parallels in which transformative events seem to be repeated in some time or place, though not an exact replication and somewhat different than the original event. The lifestyles and cultural uniqueness may be different as well, but important or significant events, which are like inflection points in history, may repeat in ways that parallel one another. A more striking example of such a parallel in U.S. history is that which exists between Abraham Lincoln being assassinated by a chosen “hit man” and John F. Kennedy being assassinated less than 100 years after Lincoln’s murder. Lincoln’s vice president was Andrew Johnson, who lawfully took over duties as the POTUS. John Kennedy’s vice president was Lyndon Johnson who took over as POTUS. Lincoln was from the North, Andrew Johnson was from the South. Kennedy was from the North and Lyndon Johnson was from the South. Andrew Johnson was linked to fellow Confederates who were attempting to destroy the Union. Lyndon Johnson was linked to the more entrenched and southern contingent of the Democrat Party that had evolved from those days of the confederacy.
Certainly, such parallels do not always fit exactly, but there are these parallels that appear in history and there are reasons for this. Nevertheless, the direction J.F.K. was attempting to guide his Party was lost for several reasons because the direction Lyndon Johnson led the Party was different than Kennedy’s direction. It proved to be an inflection point in our history. Obviously, the Civil War was another inflection point in our history. It was a major turning point for America – the nation as it was founded was on its deathbed and President Lincoln sacrificed his life for the Union. The problem was that Andrew Johnson was a southern Democrat, and eventually he was impeached by Congress in order to get him out of the position of POTUS. That did not work out the way his political enemies intended, but Johnson, though a Democrat, could not continue the work of Lincoln. These turning points in our history have occurred from our birth as the “Land of the Free.” Yet, the Land of the Free was a dream and a determination to become such a nation, not the fulfillment of such a dream. We are still working it out, but much of that development had been aligned with God’s Providence. Despite the challenges, it is still so.
Additionally, it is obvious other people in American history have been compared to Moses in their own lives with regard to their accomplishments. Lincoln, himself, has been compared to Moses due to his efforts to free the “African Americans” from Confederate slavery – yet the Emancipation Proclamation was only one of those efforts (and it has been misrepresented in American History to some degree). There is also another comparison between an American legend and Moses. Harriet Tubman, a former slave turned emancipator of Black people, is known as the “Moses of her people.” Tubman’s dramatic and life-risking efforts earned her the moniker. In U.S. history, Tubman stands out as a black woman of incredible determination. She was a slave and successfully escaped the dominion of her Confederate slave owners. However, instead of remaining in hiding or running to Canada, she decided to help her family, her friends and many of the others trapped behind the wall of oppression. Her story is truly intriguing, and if the comparison of Tubman to Moses is not that difficult to digest; why is it so hard to conceive of the notion of Trump in the role of a Moses for the American people? History will reveal whether such a comparison is true, not contemporary cynics and naysayers who hate Trump simply because he exists.
Obviously, just as former slave owners would not have been enamored with Harriet Tubman, all who oppose Mr. Trump would not easily accept a comparison of Trump with Moses, regardless of whether they are Jewish or even ‘religious’ in one way or another. In the same manner, any political rivals, who have tendencies toward tyranny, would refuse to see Donald Trump in such a favorable light. And those religious leaders who are very narrow in their perception of reality, or who are caught up with the “exactitudes of scripture,” would not be easily persuaded of Trump serving in the role of a Moses for America. Both examples could be understood as “hardness of heart” that hearkens back to the days of the Pharaoh who was Moses’ nemesis. I sincerely believe that God used Moses, a simple shepherd, to help free those Hebrew people because Heavenly Father had big plans for the ‘chosen’ people. I also sincerely believe that God is now using Trump, a simple businessman, to help free the American people from the soft tyranny in this nation because Heavenly Father still has big plans for this nation.
A further point that should be noted is that it did not matter then whether people were resistant to the man God chose to do His work of freeing the Hebrew slaves, and it does not matter now whether those who are Americans in name only were resistant to a man God chose to do His work of freeing the American ‘slaves.’ In essence, the Providence of God does exist, but not to those who deny God – or even to those who only know of God, who have no relationship with Him. Yet, Heavenly Father’s Providence has continued to unfold over time, and it is still moving forward in this time. The Bible represents God’s work through a specific period of history, but His work did not conclude with the book of Revelation. America was created as a part of His plans for all people to be free. He used the Founders to the degree they would allow Him to work in them and through them. He has used some outstanding presidents in perilous times in this nation’s history. And, he is not done with America yet.
The question in the title, “Do Americans View Trump as an Agent of God?” is important for Americans because if they do not recognize DJT as being on a mission from God, it is not so much a problem for him, it will be more a problem for them. Another LightWing edition in April posed a similar question: CSN - Sunday LightWing Messages - Will Americans Align with or Resist Trump? That edition followed another with a similar theme of uniting with a man God wants to use to help restore America or to remain within the politically created cesspool of corruption that is often referred to as “the swamp.” Americans have faced several challenges
in our history. The current challenge to the Republic is actually multifaceted. We need to see from God’s viewpoint more often than our own view because our egos often get in the way. If we can manage that, we may be able to see Trump in the way God may see him. If we strive for that, it could happen. And if that could happen, Americans might be able to keep the Republic because it is through unity in our freedom that we can hold onto the Land of the Free. If we miss this opportunity, God will move forward with His Providence in some other way. We witness that in history and it would be our misfortune as a nation. If we are united, we will stand!
