CSN Sunday - Messages of Light – 6/13/2021..
Dear CSN newsletter readers,
The Citizen Sentinels Network has maintained a project, originally deemed the David Project, since 2018. We are in our second year of existence in a hostile political environment! For those readers of faith, the Messages of Light originated as a genuine inspiration from our Heavenly Father. It was initiated to bring Light into the dark in this time. And especially at this time in our nation and in the world, there is clear and present danger that requires the faithful to hold boldly and securely onto the foundations that are rooted in faith.
If you consider the messages in our Sunday edition relevant or meaningful and know others who might value them as well, consider yourself a Light mail messenger and please pass this newsletter on to those whom you feel could welcome it. Or simply, please receive it yourselves.
Psalm 80
To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim-Eduth, A Psalm of Asaph.
“Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
thou that leadest Joseph like a flock;
thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength,
and come and save us.
Turn us again, O God,
and cause thy face to shine;
and we shall be saved.
O Lord God of hosts,
how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears;
and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours:
and our enemies laugh among themselves.
Turn us again, O God of hosts,
and cause thy face to shine;
and we shall be saved.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt:
thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Thou preparedst room before it,
and didst cause it to take deep root,
and it filled the land.
The hills were covered with the shadow of it,
and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
She sent out her boughs unto the sea,
and her branches unto the river.
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges,
so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
The boar out of the wood doth waste it,
and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts:
look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
and the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted,
and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
It is burned with fire, it is cut down:
they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand,
upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
So will not we go back from thee:
quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine;
and we shall be saved.” Psalm 80:1-19
Tomorrow in the United States it is Flag Day, a day that had been established under President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 when he issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day. And then, on August 3, 1949, Congress passed legislation that established National Flag Day in a more official capacity as an act of the people. In this day, only certain realms of the population will remember and honor “Old Glory.” Other realms across the nation would just as easily burn the U.S. flag as they bear no love of this country. And, as bad as that may seem, there are others in this nation, who call themselves Americans, but they would prefer to raise a different flag over our nation. These are not just words; they are words of truth; and, they are words of warning. 1920 × 1080
Americans in May celebrated Armed Forces Month and culminated in the remembrance of the Memorial Day commemoration. In June we also commemorated D-Day, another somber day of remembrance of patriotic courage in which American men and boys sacrificed their lives that other people in other lands could retain Freedom. Tomorrow is Flag Day. Many Americans will not bat an eye in remembrance, nor offer much-rekindled respect for our Star-Spangled Banner, but there are millions of Americans of all colors, all cultures, all races, all religions who will still honor our flag. And, for those that have no clue of the value, it would seem that ignorance still stalks our citizens -- especially when such ignorance is deliberately perpetuated by anarchists and elitists alike. Anarchists either care about nothing, or they care about picking up a dollar for mercenary manifested mayhem. Elitists are very much concerned about control because it can amplify their personal or political fame, power, or wealth.
Yet, the story of the American Flag is very compelling, and there are many stories regarding the flag that are interwoven into the fabric of our history. But, the one story that is most critical for our understanding today is that the flag existed before the nation existed. The flag had been a true symbol of freedom before the nation came into formal existence. And, the day of June 14th also represents the birthday of the United States Army. Many Americans are not aware of this simple fact. There is another like it: The Continental Army came into existence before the nation came into formal existence. So, here is a real serious question: for what nation was the Continental Army fighting if the United States of America did not exist at the time?
I will refrain from offering a third message this week; however, for those interested, and for the sake of providing an historical perspective, I provide links to one of my articles on Flag Day as well as the birth of the Army of Freedom and a link to an article I wrote on Constitution Day relating the Star Spangled Banner to the Constitution.
Nevertheless, for this Sunday, we are providing messages from two very important ladies. The main message today is from the My Faith Votes website from young Emily Moulin, a 15-year-old lady providing her perspectives on Flag Day. We have both a video and written version of her perspectives. In addition, we offer an appeal from Kristan Hawkins, who is the president of Students for Life. She is challenging people to attend their upcoming rallies around the country this week, or to send their messages to those in the Catholic hierarchy regarding the realities of the Church’s stance on abortion. The Students for Life needs greater public support. The crime of murdering the unborn children is one of the greatest sins of our nation. Supporting those who fight against such sin in one way or another is comparable to standing up and giving honest support to the Jews as the Nazis systematically exterminated those innocent victims.
As I mentioned last Sunday, “the domestic enemy and foreign enemies have been able to occupy seats of power within the nation - to the detriment of “We the People.” And ...there is no cavalry or Allied Expeditionary Force to launch a counteroffensive to take our country back…” My article on Flag Day attempts to provide some historical context of how our nation came to be born. The pertinent questions I asked last week still remain: “Was there a cavalry in 1775 or 1776 to rescue the founding generation who stood up to the most powerful military on the planet? Were those brave and brilliant men and women waiting for someone to save them?” And I submit that “Our nation was born because such stalwart people rose up and embraced the sacred, self-evident truths proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence.” The “sacred truths” that Jefferson first referred to, were translated into those “self-evident truths” of Franklin, do still exist. There was no expiration date upon them. So, Flag Day is essentially significant, and the birth of the Army of Freedom defined the character of the patriots we honored on Memorial Day, or those we remembered on the anniversary of D-Day.
Flag Day helps us to remember our roots. Awaiting the cavalry is not a productive option. It is for us the living to continue to advance the cause of Freedom - not just for the U.S.A. but for all people throughout the world. Last week, I offered the answer to: What must be done, then? It is not a nice comfortable or cozy answer: “The genuine answer lies buried in the ground. Those who came before us, who were willing to lay down their lives for the sacred truths and our inherited freedoms serve as examples of what it means to love Freedom so dearly that they gave their lives to preserve it -- not just for American citizens, but for people all over the world.”
Every generation from the founding generation has inherited this legacy, this challenge. And now we are in this critical time in human history. How will this generation meet the challenge? Awaiting the cavalry is hopeful, wishful, and unrealistic -- not a productive option. The cause of Freedom has fallen to us, to preserve and protect, or to pretend we have better things to do.
In addition to my history messages, we have three additional articles in our “Recommended Reading” section and they deal with a number of breaking news stories -- one is on the defeat of Benjamin Netanyahu, whose impending danger A. Dru Kristenev wrote about in our Thursday edition. There is also a very relevant article that provides an update on the consequences that are related to the COVID vaccines.
We hope that you would also please check out the relevant presentations in our “Around the Republic” area. Remember “What affects one, affects all.” Additionally, we have a huge supply of videos for today - ten in all - including the “American Minute” feature by William Federer. Most of them focus on the theme of Flag Day or the U.S. National Anthem. Watch one, or a few, or watch them all! They are all provided for you to have a better day...
For our Citizen Voice videos: anyone who missed my interview with Pastor Earl Wallace, we have included it once again in our ”Video Views“ section. In June, readers should know that we are no longer offering the live-stream feature since the time slot seems too limited for a decent number for live viewing. Viewers can still catch the link to the recordings -- all recordings are posted in several places on the internet. They will continue to be posted on the WCN-TV site.
They are also on the Youmaker site: https://www.youmaker.com/channel/30dd354d-4de8-4a79-802f-659021debbc4
and the Strike Force of Prayer site: https://strikeforceofprayer.tv/ However, viewers would be able to see a description of each episode on our Citizen Sentinels Network site: https://citizensentinelsnetwork.com/category/citizen-voice/
Future episodes will be announced in our Citizen Sentinels “Citizen Voice” Bulletin or in our Thursday newsletter each week. Just look for the announcements. We remain grateful for our hosts at Wisconsin Christian News network that are projecting the half-hour program on their site. You can tune in to future programs by still accessing this link:https://wcntv.net
These words and images are being freely offered and are being sent to you as part of the David Project’s “Messages of Light” that has now “morphed” into the “Light Wing Mission” efforts. Please receive today’s messages as a gift from those who care. They are only words that are being offered, freely, but some contain a deep message of faith, or a deeper expression of heart that readers can hopefully receive into their lives. As it was written: “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 - KJV
May we humble ourselves, seek God’s face, but also seek His Mind, His Heart, and seek especially His Will for us in this time. May we purposefully become better stewards of His Garden, and may we take greater responsibility to shine His light and Life-Giving Energy of Love into the darkness of our world. Let us seek to reclaim “One Nation Under God.”

“The Significance of Flag Day Through the Eyes of a 15-year-old”
By Emily Moulin
6/11/2021
“The Star-Spangled Banner” lyric, “Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just” echoed in my mind as I walked through the open, grassy field of the Saratoga Battlefield outside of Schuylerville, New York. Up to this point in my life, I had viewed history through the eyes of a learning child—a child who couldn’t fully grasp the concept of war. Now as a young woman with a little more life experience, I finally was beginning to understand the sacrifice war requires.
The Revolutionary War, fought between 1775 and 1783, pitted a young America against England as she battled for her freedom to be a separate nation. On May 10, 1775, Reverend Jacob Duché opened the Second Continental Congress by quoting Psalm 80:14, “Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine” (Psalm 80:14 KJV). Reverend Duché called upon God to return to the vine He planted that was America, and for the leaders of this country to dedicate the United States to Almighty God. The Second Continental Congress ushered in the drafting of the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation and also marked the adoption of the official flag of the United States of America.
After learning of the new flag design, but not yet receiving one, soldiers in the Revolutionary War created the first new flag flown in battle with scraps of soldiers’ uniforms. This battle fought in Rome, New York brought a victory that launched the turning point of the war— the Battles of Saratoga. The Battles of Saratoga were fought during September and October of 1777 and marked the turning point of the war. The Continental Army led by commander-in-chief George Washington had successfully beat back the British troops and cut their supply route. The victory greatly boosted American morale and persuaded the Dutch, French, and Spanish to join the American forces. For the first time in world history, the British Army surrendered. One month after the fighting in Rome and with our nation’s new flag proudly displayed, the decisive victory in Saratoga occurred 244 years before I walked these same grounds.
As I made my way to the edge of the hill, looking upon the battlefield, I imagined the skirmish unfolding. The firing of muskets, the clash of swords, the grunts and cries of desperate soldiers. It was surreal to stand where the beginning of my beloved country took place. A new feeling arose inside me. A feeling of pride, honor, patriotism, and overwhelming gratitude for the sacrifices of human life made here. Two cannons overlooking the Hudson Valley sat in the middle of the battlefield as a reminder of the fierce fighting that occurred there. As I watched an American flag waving gently in the breeze atop one of the cannons, Flag Day suddenly took on a heavy, personal significance.
For me, the American flag is a symbol of freedom and costly sacrifice. It serves as a reminder of the patriots past and present who gave their all for the sake of America.
Flag Day was made a national holiday in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson. In his federal proclamation, President Wilson called upon the nation to observe Flag Day with special patriotic exercises to “give significant expression to our thoughtful love of America, our comprehension of the great mission of liberty and justice to which we have devoted ourselves as a people, our pride in history and our enthusiasm for the political program of the nation.”
Perhaps now more than ever, our nation must allow these words of President Wilson to take root: “Let us on that day rededicate ourselves to the nation… We shall stand with united hearts, for an America which no man can corrupt, no influence draw away from its ideals, no force divide against itself.”
Flag Day serves as a necessary reminder of the vision our Founding Fathers had for our country and a chance to renew our commitment to it. May this Flag Day cause our nation to remember what our flag stands for, the patriots that sacrificed on our behalf, and our Pledge of Allegiance affirming that we are, “one nation under God.”

I wanted to personally invite you to join us this coming Wednesday in San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA!
We'll be gathering at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, 1111 Gough St, in San Francisco and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 W Temple St in Los Angeles to thank both Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone and Archbishop José H. Gomez for their commitment to these crucial tenets of the faith and urge them to continue taking courageous, faithful action to protect the preborn.
RSVP HERE TO JOIN US IN PERSON!
Our nationwide Fight for Life & Faith Rallies are calling on U.S. Catholic bishops to take courageous action against so-called "Catholic" politicians who persistently advocate for abortion and will also send a clear message — ALL Christians, regardless of their denomination, must take hold our church leaders accountable for upholding moral teaching on the dignity of human life.
It is time we stop "talking the talk" and begin "walking the walk" of our faith.
Fortunately, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone and Archbishop José H. Gomez are strong advocates for Life who work to ensure adherence to Catholic Church teaching regarding the horror of abortion and the reception of the Eucharist.
Will you join our Fight for Life & Faith Rally in San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday, June 16th?
In the meantime, please take just 30 seconds to send an email to Archbishop Gomez, the President of the USCCB, to encourage him to have this important conversation with his fellow Bishops and continue defending the Christian faith & human life.
After submitting your email, you'll be redirected to a printable note that you can fill out and drop in your church collection basket over the weekend, conveying to your pastor, Catholic or Protestant, just how crucial it is that church leadership boldly upholds the teachings of the faith.
God Bless,
Kristan Hawkins
President, Students for Life
P.S. – You don’t have to be Catholic to join us on Wednesday.I would love to see a diverse collection of pro-lifers join us!
