Today, following in the wake of the resurrection is not a simple path. But, this edition of the CPR Lifeline Advisory will attempt to address some current adverse issues within the present political arena that were previously predicted by the Father of our country. And, I would hope that those Christians moved by the events of the crucifixion and subsequent resurrection, would grasp how politics invades the religious realm – because it has. It continues to do so. We witness it today.
At the beginning of the new year (the first quarter is already gone!), in the very first edition of the Lifeline Advisory, I offered a message entitled: “Emerging from the ‘Dark Winter,’ Courage or Cowardice Will Shape the Future of Our Constitutional Republic.” CPR Lifeline Advisory - New Year’s Week Edition - 1/5/2024 Perhaps it was a bit prophetic, but we are now witnessing what could be considered cowardice or childish emotional immaturity by a number of Republican. It could be more, if one is a ‘conspiracy theorist’ or a good political analyst who may be dismissed as a conspiracy theorist. This concern was first brought to our readers in our last edition of the Citizen Voice - Founder’s Focus (CSN - Citizen Voice Bulletin - 3/26/2024) with an article by Judi McLeod, originally posted in her Canada Free Press.
The featured article in this edition examines this in a more complete way in the article entitled: “Coup by Disaffection and Misdirection,” by A. Dru Kristenev. The actors in this misdirected coup it is pointed out are abandoning their constitutional responsibilities as “duly elected officials.” As many readers of this newsletter know, the UniParty is pervasive and can be quite persuasive in their own unique ways. However, there are now several articles in the public realm that are truly examining the issues of genuine loyalty to a Party that had already lost linkage to the principles they are proclaiming they “really believe in.” The truth is they may be only self-identifying with a Party in which leaders used to hold on to self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence.
The second article is from a message I re-wrote last year as an update of sentiments I had expressed years before. It seems necessary to express them in relation to these “leaders” who are retreating from the arena they had once relished. It seems that the attraction may not have been aligned with the people, but more aligned with a disjointed, self-serving political business.
The article was originally written in 2012; it is entitled: “George Washington’s Views on Political Parties in America
As we embark upon this new year and put all the season’s festivities behind us, we hope that despite the new distractions, deceptions, or diversions, consistently seeking the truth and being courageous, we all can move forward together. United “W the People” stand. Divided we will fall. The CPR will continue to empower those who have been awakened to take action to retain our Republic. Today we are offering messages of how Americans survived before America came to exist. Our second featured message is one I wrote as an update of sentiments I’d expressed in years past. It seems necessary to express them again. Honest to God: If the “leaders” lose a grip on the self-evident truths embedded in the foundations of our nation, what hope is there for the people? “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
Our hope once again is that the messages in this edition may provide a more relevant view of our need to renew the subverted or suppressed greatness of America and American citizenship. And since we are in an election year, American citizens who love this country should consider not just reflecting on our messages, but upon electing a POTUS and other officials who honestly love America and the Republic for which it stands. This nation stands (or used to) as a beacon of freedom for all people across the world. America’s future is on the line in this election year, as can be evidenced by those who center on themselves rather than defense and preservation of Freedom for all people. True Americans will not sit this battle out, nor run as cowards from those battles for the soul of America.
Again as a brief reminder, the Coalition for a Principled Republic is in our second year of posting this newsletter as part of the Citizen Sentinels Network. Coup by Disaffection and Misdirection

Congressional representatives sign-up to serve and complete two-year terms of office. Regardless of that sworn oath, the perfidious (a perfectly descriptive word for false actors) are abandoning ship before they’re forced to reveal their true stripes as cowardly self-servants.
Ken Buck’s walking out of the House at a critical time when the republican majority has been whittled down to a few seats comes under the perfidious heading. It’s being unveiled that his early departure appears purposeful in placing both Colorado’s 4th and 3rd Congressional districts in jeopardy of falling to democrats. Joey Mannarino condenses his viewpoint in this tweet that is a viable view of the situation that Buck has set-up to sabotage populist, and popular, Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert.
Premature escape from Washington
His premature escape from Washington isn’t the only one that’s causing problems for Speaker Mike Johnson, who has been melting under pressure applied by the dishonest, wholly deceitful democrat and establishment republican “leadership.”
Three other congressmen have cut and run before their terms ended. One of them had a somewhat acceptable excuse for going home and that would be Rep. Chris Stewart from Utah. His reason was said to be related to his wife’s suffering a stroke, necessitating his departure. In the case of Stewart’s leaving, the House seat has already been filled by Republican Celeste Maloy by way of a special election.
The others who are not waiting for the election cycle to run its course have no such excuses on which to rely. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio), who abruptly left office to take a position as president of a university, had no justification to leave early. Colleges often have interim officials that can handle operations until the new appointee takes the reins. (As one who has taught college for years, such witness can be attested.) There was no need to cut short his tenure in D.C. and slim the majority in favor of budget-busting democrat votes.

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy could offer no rationale for running home as fast as possible, other than suffering a humbling at the hands of fellow republicans who rightfully answered to dissatisfied constituents. McCarthy’s scrambling may be a case of sour grapes that, pun-like, comes from the agriculture dependent San Joaquin Valley once known for its vast vineyards that are disappearing at the hands of governmental eco-terrorism. By turning tail, he left his central California district in limbo until May 21, long after the mini-bus votes that are likely to fall to democrat operatives, exploding the $34 trillion deficit by trillions more.
Then there’s the folly of booting George Santos from his New York seat despite (or because of?) his voting with true conservatives to hold back the democrat hordes from turning the United States into a third world nation. RINOs didn’t care for his minor infractions of their code of (dis)honor because he didn’t give-in to their edicts, but are more than willing to put up with self-declared servants of foreign interests seated in the House (Tlaib and Omar for certain).
Giving away the House to democrat control has all the hallmarks of an underhanded coup by design.

To staunch the bleeding of the republican majority by representatives (note the importance of the title) fleeing their own shadow, disclosure of disloyalty, or folding to democrat extortion, there may be an answer.
Accountability by elected officials has become nonexistent, especially personal accountability. And that is what must be enforced.
When an individual raises their right hand and takes an oath of office to serve their country and constituents, it isn’t a casual declaration that can be arbitrarily nullified. It is a contract to serve out their term with conviction and reliability.
Voters didn’t elect a person to fill the role of representative only to have them ditch their office as soon as circumstances become unpleasant or a better offer comes along. Yet this is exactly how most congressmen view their entry into the world of national politics--as a stepping stone to fame and fortune. The office is not meant to be a launchpad for personal gain.
For anyone who decides the heat in D.C. is too much for them, or that they’re going to get caught with their fist in the cookie jar, they should realize that simply waving their hand and saying “goodbye” is a breach of contract with their constituents.
It is time the electorate held gold diggers accountable and haul them into court for breaking their oath without valid reason. McCarthy, Johnson, Buck, and others who may be considering abandoning their responsibilities to pursue their rainbow should consider the consequences. They signed a contract to serve the voters of their district for a term of two years. If they don’t like what they’ve gotten themselves into, that’s unfortunate. But, they must stick it out until it’s time to call in someone else with the heart to be a true servant, and not servile to the oppressors whom they were elected to keep at bay.
The flight from office indicates an intentional betrayal of the voters these untrustworthy individuals were elected to represent. Certainly, no one prefers turncoats to remain in office, but they have a sworn duty they were elected to perform.
It is worth noting that desertion has been dealt with by firing squad in the past. Is there any difference between a soldier or a representative abandoning their post in battle without cause? When it comes to protecting and defending the Constitution, to which both individuals swear fealty, there is none. Both battle an enemy, and for representatives that means any person or power that would oppress their constituents.
It is incumbent on constituents, the injured party, to take representatives, who refuse to honor their legal agreement to serve out their term of office, to court for breach of contract.
Actions have consequences.

George Washington’s Views on Political Parties in America

When George Washington became President of the United States in 1789, the political parties did not exist. There were political factions, yes. But, political parties were initially formed during Washington’s first term in office, in 1791 with the creation of Alexander Hamilton’s Federalist Party, and in the following year, formation of the Anti-Federalist Party (Democratic-Republicans) under the leadership of Thomas Jefferson. The two political parties formulated their views of how government ought to operate in the new Republic.
At the end of Washington’s first term, as he was preparing to retire and go back to Mt. Vernon to simply be a farmer again, the leaders of the opposing parties both wanted him to reconsider with Hamilton and Jefferson pleading with Washington to stay on for a second term. Jefferson is credited as stating: “North and South will hang together if they have you to hang on.” Washington finally consented to such sentiments and was again the obvious choice of the Electoral College as they re-elected him in February of 1793.
Later, during Washington’s second term, the divisions between the two political parties became more seriously defined. A good part of the underlying differences between the two factions centered on the French Revolution (1789-1799). In the beginning of French turmoil, Jefferson had been in France as the U.S. Minister where he witnessed firsthand the beginning of the end of the French monarchy. France’s King Louis XVI eventually was guillotined in March of 1793, and Jefferson, as Washington’s Secretary of State, favored U.S. support of the new French Republic and the revolutionaries. Jefferson even had a hand in writing of the Declaration of the Rights of Man. Nevertheless, the outcome of the French Revolution was not in alignment with such noble goals.
President Washington however, being more cautious, in May issued the Neutrality Proclamation, and Jefferson resigned his Secretarial post at the end of that year as he became disgusted with having to tolerate Washington’s policies. As war broke out in Europe between the new “French Republic” and the European monarchs, Washington resisted taking sides even though the Federalists were inclined to ally with the mother country, Great Britain, during this widespread European conflict.
The extreme irony in this conflict over support of France or Britain was that it was the French monarchy, not the revolutionary “republic” that had helped to finance the war against British tyranny. Jefferson favored supporting the factions that would have opposed helping the British colonies. In fact, one of the reasons for the financial difficulties of the French monarchy was because of their assistance with the War for Independence. The Federalists favored support of Great Britain, the former tyrant.
Washington was attempting to ensure the survival of the new American Republic by refusing to be caught up in the centuries-old British-French rivalries. Yet, by refusing to come to the aide of France, Washington earned the wrath of the Democratic-Republican Party members, several of whom were newspaper editors. Despite the attempt to remain neutral, American merchants still traded with both countries, to the ire of the British who started confiscating American ships and cargo that were destined to France or French territories. The British captured nearly 300 ships near the West Indies alone, and the concept of neutrality became a feeble cause.
In 1795, Washington sent Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay to negotiate a treaty with the British regarding restitution of the lost ships and a number of outstanding issues with the motherland leftover from the revolution (like threatening to use the Indians to encroach upon newly won territories on the frontier as the French had done against the British only years prior. Neither of the two political parties were pleased by the Jay Treaty as it fell short of Washington’s objectives. Yet, the greatest opposition against Washington came simply from the appearance that he had taken sides in the securing of a trade agreement with Great Britain.
Congress had to debate the treaty behind closed doors due to the controversy, and when the public learned of the terms, Washington’s decision was attacked throughout all the states. Popular graffiti (yes it even existed in the 1700s) in Massachusetts told of reflected some of the anti-Federalist sentiment: “Damn John Jay! Damn everyone who won’t damn John Jay! Damn everyone who won’t stay up all night damning John Jay!” When Alexander Hamilton appeared at a meeting in his home state of New York to explain the benefits of the treaty, crowds hissed and booed and some even threw stones at the Secretary of the Treasury.
Party lines and loyalty were drawn to the point of personal bitterness and public destructiveness. Such division along party lines represented the most severe split between the two political factions since the inception of the Republic. Such personal divisiveness was so bitter it made a deep impact upon Washington and the memory must have been in his mind as he wrote about the very real capacity of political parties to destroy the fragile unity holding the nation together.
It is not so much that Washington failed to understand the contribution of parties, but he was greatly concerned that they had previously, and would again, grow seeking more power than other groups to the detriment of the whole. Washington was aware that other governments viewed political parties as destructive because of the temptation to manifest and retain power, but also because they would often seek to extract revenge on political opponents. He viewed this to be detrimental to the young country as an entire nation. He also saw the dangers in sectionalism (North vs. South) and warned that political factions gaining enough power could seek to obstruct the execution of the laws that were created by Congress and could prevent the three branches from properly performing their duties as outlined in the Constitution.
President Washington expressed genuine concern in that “the alternate domination” of one political party over another, thereby allowing one party to enjoy temporary power over the government that would use it to obtain revenge on the other.” He felt that this tendency toward atrocities directed at the party out of power “…is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism.” Reading the words of his Farewell Address, an adept reader may be astonished at how remarkably prophetic they are.
The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
Washington argued that political parties needed to be restrained in a free country with a government empowered by the consent of those who were governed and established through honest popular elections. He warned of the possibility fearing they could distract the government from its required duty to the people and even lead to the eradication of the freedoms established by the founding. We face such prospects today.
